Anyone use BikeBug.com

AnyOne use bikebug.com? I guess they are based in sydney Australia, they have have some decent prices on a few things. Thinking about making a 2.5k plus order from them. Any experience with them ordering from the states?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I am in another state in Australia and have purchased a number of smaller items through them.

Everything about them was first class in my dealings with them. Good communications - speedy delivery time - even a surprise pair of free cycling socks.

f it was a good deal, I would have no hesitation in buying a larger more valuable item from them.

Cheers,

Ian

Perfect. Thanks so much.
I’ll order away. Ordering a full bike and some garmin gear, and I’m sure it will take a bit to get here stateside, but as long as I know it’s coming…I’m happy.

Thanks

Ordered a saddle from them as it was about 35 % cheaper than from Europe. Their service was good but the courier charged extra when the package entered the European Union in Germany and I had to send multiple emails and sign forms to finally get it to move after just sitting there for two weeks. This pushed the price back up to the same as in Europe. But when the saddle came in it was the wrong color and I got a 50 % refund so in the end it turned out to be a decent deal.

Ah. Crap. That sounds like a pretty big hassle. I wonder if anything like that would happen stateside. I’m sure it wouldn’t but I’ll look into that a little more.

They are just up the road from me here in Sydney. They are the colnago importers as well I think. If you need anything doing im happy to go in and talk to them

one of the better bike stores in sydney, have ordered online and bought in store, and they seem to the only ones who are close to being competitive with wiggle. chain reaction etc. great range of wheels in store.

I just ordered some Di2 shifters from them for delivery to the states. The price was excellent and order was processed and shipped quickly. I ordered them last week and have not yet received them but they say to expect delivery in 3-5 business days. I’m not in a rush so I’m not too worried (within reason) about speed of delivery.

Jesus. Thanks. That’s a super nice offer. Good this and the people in this forum are top notch. That’s exactly what I was going to order. The colnaos there are 30-40% off of retail. And that’s way too good to pass up.
Thanks Nicporter!

I’m the Bikebug.com customer service rep. I’m happy to answer any questions you’ve got. I just want to note that since the earlier problems with overseas deliveries, we’ve changed our delivery method for non Australian deliveries, that has removed the problems we had with duties and customs.

Online service is great, in shop service is horible. Went there 2 Saturdays ago to buy some 404 firecrests, stood there for 10 mins while service guy ignored me and talked crap with his friend. When he was finally done he served me, before I could say ‘I want a set of 404s’ his mobile phone rang, he answered it, and again proceeded to talk crap with one of his friends. I walked out.

I have received my Bikebug order. Di2 shifters. Ordered on 2/2/13. Received in central Texas (middle of nowhere) on 2/8/13 from Australia! Product was cheaper than any other retailer I could find in the world and was exactly what I ordered. I would give them A+ for this order. I will order from them online again.

Haven’t ridden the saddle yet because the bike isn’t finished and there’s 50 cm of snow out there but the free socks were a nice surprise and I have used them a lot.

Jesus. That’s crazy service. A company that joins to answer questions.
I’m on the fringe on ordering your Colnago Ace in black on black, you guys/gals seem to be the only folks to carry it, on the entire net, and I think the one other site that I found that has it, doesn’t even have it in stock. Your prices are crazy on colnagos.

Thanks

I ordered a frame from them last summer and it was shipped to the US. Very easy transaction and I would recommend them.
