Bob, the T1 I have is about 4 years old, so I doubt its the black pearl. But when I bought it I traded in a full Orca and have never looked back…thanks for the reply…

I guess back then there was only the T1…No zipper.
I love my Firstwave pullover. I use it with the Speedtube bottoms for most races, nice combo. For Cali 70.3 I’ll be going with the FW pullover/Bibjohn…cold water.

Emilio here. If you own a T1 from 4 years ago, you are going to be blown away at what a difference there is between that T1 and our 2009 T1 First Wave. The rubber is softer, more flexible and more buoyant, The straps of the bibs are more low profile and comfortable, the legs openings are eliptical for faster removal, the zippers are 30% lighter so the suit floats better, and of course the graphics are much nicer now.

Is there a trade-in program? I have a DeSoto suit from about 2004 or 2005 (I don;t remember exactly).
We don’t have a trade in program per se, because they typically have pretty high resale value if you sell it on your own, but if you want to buy a new 2009 T1 First Wave or Black Pearl, I will give you something for your old T1!
