Anyone try Ka'Chava?

30% off today and wondering if anyone has tried it.
Thanks in advance!
Ka’Chava

I had a free sample of the chocolate.

Yeah, But How Does It Taste?

Let’s be honest, most plant-based shakes taste like twigs and lawn clippings. We made superfoods taste super good.

Guess what? Their product also tastes like blended twigs and lawn clippings. Not as bad as some I’ve tried but it still tasted like chocolate flavored yard waste.

Thanks GMAN,
ingredients all look great and seems like a healthy shake to start the day. Maybe worth a try - thinking of going for the vanilla flavored yard waste.
Do you have an alternative you like better than Ka’Chava?

I tried Pleny last year. Wasn’t great, wasn’t horrible. Was nice to have for lunch time workouts so I could ‘skip’ a meal and just go for the shake afterwards. From my research it was pretty clear they’re all going to be similar only difference is taste and sometimes nutritional content. If you can get a deal that suits your wallet may as well try it.

More of a traditional protein shake than superfood but I like Orgain. They do have a superfood powder but I haven’t tried it.

My wife uses Ka’Chava regularly and likes it.

In my opinion the best protein powder I’ve ever used was Whey Cool, but it’s pricey.

I agree that the taste is just passable, but I didn’t buy it expecting much.

I think its appeal is that the ingredients are actual fruits, vegetables, and other natural and organic plants, as opposed to synthesized. It also doesn’t contain soy. Some of these things are not important to people, but there is something to be said about how bioavailable the listed nutrients are.

I essentially try to use it as a backup for when I’d otherwise be skipping a meal, instead of trying to actually trying to live off the stuff.

For what it is worth, there are a few anecdotes out there of people trying to live off soylent or similar and having bad experiences… which isn’t scientific, but it makes sense to diversify your food sources.

Origiain $10 a lb average Costco or online, and 70 calories less, but same amount of protein . So if kachava costs more you are paining for extra fat/sugar

I buy the 920g container from Costco for $30 but can often get it on sale for $20-$25. Ka’Chava is $70 for 900g.

By itself in water … ugh.
But adding to a smoothly … good.

Cup of coffee, ice, peanut butter, banana, Chocolate KaChava … that’s good.
Yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, banana, avocado, vanilla KaChava … good.
