I’m considering stepping up to a 1/2 IM next year and would like to video the journey as it might evolve to a full IM in 2012. Any suggestions on self documenting the trainings, programs to use for editing, suggested equipment, etc? I’ll need to do this on the cheap due to economics, so keep that in mind as I’m not doing some full feature HD project.

For all of your cycling you should get a GoPro helmet cam. The footage is very good and they only run about $100. I’ve seen many MX and street car vids from them and it would work very well I think.
Not very aero though…
