1099 doesnt sound like a bad price for a new wheelset. but how do they ride?
I have them, but unfortunately the only aero wheels I can only compare them to the flashpoint 60s (which is essentially the same wheel since SRAM owns zipp and zipp makes FPs). Only discernible difference to me is the the sound of the rear hub ratcheting mech. Otherwise the ride is the same, so you may want to search around for reviews on the flashpoints. They ride nicer than my stock bontrager box rim road wheels but them pretty much everything does.
jays review of the S80s, I own the S60s and dont think you will find much better value, sturdy wheels that feel fantastic and are reasonably priced

it should probably also be mentioned that as far as ~60mm aero clinchers go you give up about 200 grams to the zipp 404, and 100 to hed jet 6, and maybe SOME drag wattage, but the weight/aero gap is probably nowhere near worth the added $1000 and $500 respectively.
LIE LIE LIE…I want dimples and LESS weight on my wheels…where as on women…dimples often mean more weight 
But in either case, it is not the dimples or weight that will alter your ride or speed
