I was just reading about Laurens ten Dam and Thomas Dekker being arrested in Kansas before Unbound, and it made me curious whatever happened with the 2012 Abu Dhabi situation. Did Starykowicz ever get the fifty grand “blood bond” back? Did he win the lawsuit against IMG? To what extent did Carly Williams (the volunteer that was struck) recover after the TBI? Do any pros actually avoid racing in Abu Dhabi because of what happened, or not really? Have race organizations gotten any more specific in their documentation about whether continuing from the scene of a crash during a race is or isn’t a crime, as Slowman suggested?
