I’ve been using TYR socket rocket 2.0’s for my swim training over the winter, no problem in the pool, they’re great. I’ve done two tris now this season, and in both the goggles leaked for the first couple hundred yards in the swim. Needless to say, that puts a damper on my swim time.
Anyone else have these issues or have an idea for how to fix?

straps over or under your cap? Over. In the pool I don’t wear a cap.
do you get them wet first at the pool? Yes, and I did the same at the races.
did you adjust them, or use a different pair? Tightened straps slightly as I was afraid of them getting kicked off.
So you did 2 things differently.
keep the fit the same. with the socket rockets, tightening the head strap will pull the nose elastic farther apart. That can cause them to leak, since they aren’t sitting in the same spot on your face.
put the cap over the goggles.
