I had the Polar cs200cad in the past and was very unimpressed. It worked great for about 6 months and then it would no longer pickup the cadence and speed sensors so I sent them in for battery replacement (yes you actually have to send them in). I got them back and they still didn’t work.
This new CS600X unit has GPS and mapping features. It won a big design award and I’d love to get it I just don’t know the reliability. Also, the polar website doesn’t even state whether the unit comes with the GPS sensor.
CS600x does not come with the G3 GPS. The CS600x will show post ride route/mapping. The CS400,CS600,CS600x all download to Protrainer5 software. The CS600x will have a Goggle Earth icon on PT5 software
I am getting rid of my RS800 and CS600 and just bought 2 powertaps and a garmin. Polar is great for HR, but I no longer train with HR and their power meter and GPS are just too flaky. They would work great until you needed them and then die or fail at the worst possible time. I finally had enough.
