I am racing IM Germany on July 10th. I just wondered who else out there was racing.
I also wondered if there was anyone out there that raced it over the past 2 or 3 years who may be able to provide some insight into the course and any pitfalls etc. I have watched the IM Live coverage and race videos for the last two years (several times, I might add) but clearly they do not provide the full perspective.
Answers to random thoughts like: short or long sleeved wetsuit are the road surfaces as good as they look how long and how bad are the cobbles of “the hell” how are the climbs and descents how windy was the bike course and what is the prevailing wind do they serve beer at the aid-stations (sorry Chuckie V) is the run as flat as the TV coverage looks is the run as congested as it looks is the post-race party worth staying awake for?
I am sure that I can start to answer some of these questions myself once I get to Germany, but I think it would be good to get some insight from the gang before I get there (and to help ease the nerves a little).
Any thoughts from members would be appreciated.
