Thinking about adding a RideSense speed & cadence sensor to my TCR (the frame is compatible but it didn’t come on the bike). Anyone have any experience with it? Is it any better or worse than any of the other sensors out there? Price seems comparable to a Wahoo Blue. Thanks!
I have one on my Giant Propel. Can’t say if it is better / worse than other sensors, it just works and does what it is supposed to do.
If you are adding a speed & cadence sensor and don’t plan on neeeding to swap it between bikes then the RideSense is the way to go for Giant. Tucks very nicely into the chain stay, no zip ties or pods sticking up above the stay.
Off the top of my head I have no idea whether or not it does Bluetooth or if it is Ant+ only, which may or may not be an issue for you.

I’ve got it because it came with my bike. Don’t bother, go buy a Garmin or other brand one, Ridesense is average at best. It often fails to connect or drops out during a ride, the only thing going for it, is that it is neat. Then again the axle mounted Garmin’s look neat enough.
I have one that came with my TCR. I use it for cadence only. I like it and have had no issues with it. I like how it tucks away and is not that visible. I can’t compare it to anything else due to lack of experience with others.
Two have died on me. I just decided to eff it and got the bontrager combo one with thats easy to mount.
I had one on the Defy I used to ride.
Never had an issue with it. Not one. Worked perfectly for almost 3 years when I upgraded to my R3.
My TCR Advanced came with one. I could never get it to connect either of the 510s I’ve owned.

So 3 positive experiences and 3 negative…think I’ll stick with Garmin. Thanks all!

Yes it did! I even removed the cellophane cover keeping it from draining. I even tried 2 other batteries. Any other guesses?
