Anyone exported Wahoo road rides into Zwift?

Supposedly, outdoor rides can now count towards Zwift metrics (XP, etc.), but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to do that. In my Elemnt companion, I don’t see a Zwift link for exporting (I export to Strava and RideWithGPS).

Go into the Zwift Companion app (not Wahoo’s), go to more > settings > connections, and connect your Wahoo account from there (if it’s already connected, disconnect and connect it again). Outdoor rides recorded on a Wahoo device should be imported automatically into Zwift after doing that.

Thanks! Now to just get outside…

Another hack is to be riding on Zwift while out on the road.

  1. Install Zwift (not the companion app) on your phone.
  2. Set the app to use wifi, but not cellular data (so when you are riding it is just running locally on the phone).
  3. Use your bikes PM as the data source for Zwift on your phone.
  4. Before the ride, start Zwift. Pick a fast course like Tempis Fugit, and use your TT bike.
  5. As you leave your home/wifi Zwift will continue to run on your phone. Your power output will move your avatar.
  6. When you get home Zwift will reconnect to your wifi and you can end the ride and the phone will sync with the Zwift servers. Now you get XP and all the other perks (upgrading your bikes, etc.) from the distance you did on Zwift.
