Anybody wear Under Armour HeatGear Compression shirts?

looking for a good shirt for running and workouts. I have nike dri fit but they just end up causing chafing issues on long runs. I’ve started wearing tri-tops for runs because of that. thought the under armour compression shirt might work and it’s on sale on amazon today.

anybody wearing this shirt. thoughts?

I LOVE mine. Never had any chafing. Wicks sweat and breaths beautifully. Under cycling jerseys, on its own for runs (mostly), or under hockey gear (to prevent chafing), it’ll do the job for ya! Mine’s been around a long while and still looking brand new as well. I’d recommend it to a friend. Its my go to!

Good luck!

how’s the sizing? it’s always hard to tell in reviews with compression gear because some people don’t get that it really should be skin tight.

These work well for me on long runs, and hold up well. I’ve had good luck with other lightweight compression shirts too, and in any case they beat the heck out of Band-Aids…

I’m 5’10 and 150#; “large” works for me.

okay. I may need XL then. I’m 6’ 2" and 170. for regular t-shirts I’m a large. for triathlon top I’m L or XL. It just depends on the manufacturer.

I wear them for both running and biking. I’m 6’5" and 190lbs and a large works for me.

I have a few of the UA heat gear compression shirts. They’ve been great for me with no chaffing, wicks sweat well, tight fitting without restricting breathing, and they hold up great. (I’ve had some for multiple years). They offer very good sun protection too.

The only drawbacks (that are not of consequence to me) would be lack of rear pockets and no zipper if someone wanted that. Again, I’ve found no need for those options.

No shirt, no chafing.

I’m 6’ even, 170 lbs. Large fits well. Tight, but not awkwardly, too tight.

great! thanks. I ordered large. Can always exchange it. But I prefer snug.

They’re my go to race shirt, and my base layer in winter. Not the easiest thing to take off when wet. The only complaint I ever had was that a few of my shirts started to ‘dissolve’. I always wash in delicate and hang dry, don’t know if there was some residual bleach in the washer or not. Never wear them in a pool as the chlorine dissolves them (as I found out with some jammers).

Thanks for the tips. I have some Nike dri fit shirts that are many years old at this point and I think they’ve lost their effectiveness.

I use the Nike compression short sleeve for all my super long runs in the heat. No chaffing and I run in a medium normal tech shirt and medium Nike compression shirt. They are reasonable priced and have lasted a long time with no signs of wear so far.

They also work great in the winter when you need a base layer for extra warmth.

I went Nike instead of UA just purely due to price at the time.
