Noticed them on Ali express and would love to hear some thoughts on them?
Very affordable for a full support bar at $338 AUD
Edit:Didn’t see the Fast TT comparison
I have the ELVES TT bars coming, which are pretty much these, but branded differently. Once I get them I can give you a review.
They are significantly different.
The winow bars are a blatant rip off of a Fast TT 2.0 aerobar.
The Elves ones look like they are their own design.
The base bar is the same? I have seen the ELVES ones being sold through similar Chinese sites, could be wrong…
Had one of the first pairs of the Winow bars released. Construction seems solid and fit decent for me (6"2 by the way). Have paired these with a d2z 15 deg spacer.
Never used any other super extensions before to be able to compare them to though
I built a TT bike from Winow (using the TT-119 frame). The bars are really decent and feel well made. I’ve been using the bike for the last 3 months and have very few complaints.
Is that a trek?
Geeez it’s nice mate
Do you think you would be able to form a piece of carbon between the two bars to make it a one piece design?
Correct. They stole our design and passed it off as their own. Supporting thieves like this encourages the Chinese to steal more original designs that genuine brands like FastTT invest a huge amount of time and resources to develop so that athletes can benefit. In the end no more products get designed because of this.
They feel good because they stole all of our hard work and 3 years of product development.
When you steal a design and don’t have to invest in the development it’s easy to make cheap shit. You can also get a Pinarello Dogma frame for $1000, but it will never be a Pinarello.
Sorry Wayne, was an oversight by me bringing light to this, didn’t realise the real resemblance
All good mate. It’s a raw nerve for me as the founder of FastTT and designer of the bars.
Yeah, this stuff sucks. I really appreciate all the legit chinese brands bringing some real cometition to some of the western brands, esp in wheels, but as a community we need to call out knockoffs
Agreed. No-one can argue about genuine competition and original design, nor should we hinder it. It’s healthy for our industry.
Do you have plans on doing a shorter version of your FastTT bars? The current ones seem squarely targeted at tri as the length puts quite a tight limit on how much you can angle them for TTs within UCI rules. The copies are made in a shorter version (though still on the longer side).
All good mate, appreciate your understanding:)
The bar that has been copied is our Large size. We have four aero bar sizes - small, medium, large, X-large to suit all athlete sizes. Our small and medium bars are also sold as our TT bars and are UCI compliant. Both are shorter to suit UCI height category rules. Our The large and XL bars are not UCI compliant (tri only), so the knockoff bar cannot be used for any TT events. This is the link to your bar range FYI https://fasttt.bike/product-category/aero-bars/
These are not the same bars that came with my bike. @JaBuddyB has a different set to mine. Sucks to see that they ripped you off though.
Thanks for the reply, that’s nice. Must be new’ish with the smaller versions as they weren’t there when I checked probably around a month ago.
Is it possible to get some measurements on the actual bar lengths? E.g. I’m 315mm from arm rest back to extension tip, but can’t see a way to check that against the bar sizes.
