Anybody use Cervelo crash replacement?

I think my S2 is broken. Anyone have experience with the Cervelo crash replacement program? I would be interested in hearing what they offered and how it went.

Yes, I have loads of experience with this. What they offer depends on what you have. Current gen S2?

You will take your bike to LBS that is also a Cervelo dealer, they will submit a claim via online portal. You can ask them to say “Customer is interested in crash replacement cost of his S2 and any potential crash replacement upgrades and their availability” and your LBS will receive a response within 2-48 hours, give or take. Your LBS will then contact you with those aforementioned options as dictated by Cervelo. You will then ride your bike (if it is still ridable or ride a different bike) until the replacement comes in and then at that point your LBS will contact you and - ideally - offer you a time window in which you can drop off your bike, have the parts swapped over (for a fee, most likely), and then pick up your “new” bicycle.

At least, that’s about how it should work. I’m just guessing though.

If you have loads of experience, why are you guessing?

It was a joke given the elaborate details in my post.

Any idea how pricing compares to having to (re)pay full boat retail? Given the unfortunate popularity of it, I’m assuming they’re giving something more than a token $100-$200 discount?

It really just depends. But suffice to say that Cervelo wants you back on a Cervelo.
