Anybody else use baseball batting gloves as bike gloves?

I try to be open minded about these things, but in 40-65 degree weather, my Rawlings batting gloves are no match to the cr#p offered by the bike vendors. I don’t see any advantage in the more expensive bike specific gloves out there. And they are much, much cheaper.

I’ve used golf rain gloves on the bike when it was cool. I wish I had them in florida last year.

MSR motorcross gloves for winter riding.

I bought a pair of Descente cold weather bike gloves on Chainlove for $14. But yes, I agree with using what works for less $.

they have not been tested in a wind tunnel or marketed, you are losing at least 100 seconds per 40k

Whatever works. I have kayaking neoprene gloves that I’ve worn in cold rainy weather on the bike. Actual bike gloves are designed with padding to help against numb hands but as triathletes, we don’t use that padding on a tri bike so the only other advantage make be fingerless and cooling effects.

I use Western Safety gloves from Harbor Freight because the safety goes in before the name goes on

I use football gloves similar to what Odell Beckham Jr. uses so I don’t have to slow down at aid stations…
