Anybody addicted to Chipotle?

No kidding…I’m there at least 4 times a week. It started a few years ago when I rec’d $200 worth of coupons from my snowboard team. (I’m the coach). Every Sat after my long ride, I come in there like a freight train hit me…and get a free meal. Now, each time I can recite every worker’s name upon entry, I get a free meal also. It’s kinda like I’m now sponsored by Chipotle.

Usually…chicken burrito bowl, black beans, mild, hot (lil sour cream/cheese).

On my long ride, I’ll stop on the way home for burrito…fits nicely in my rear pocket. It’s much easier than firing up the George Foreman and cooking veggies.

I hear the tortillas pack around 350 calories, so I try to steer clear of those if I can.

Anybody have any clue upon the recipe of the hot sauce? Seriously…I’m addicted to that stuff.

I eat that crap all the time. I love it - fortunately for me I don’t like cheese or sour cream, so I guess that makes it a little healthier…

I haven’t got a free meal yet, but I knew I was going too often when not only the people up front say hi, but also the peopel in the back cooking the meat, etc…

That hot sauce is great. I like the chicken quesadilla the best, although they don’t put it on the menu because it would back the line up too much if they got five ordered in a row. At $3.88 (that’s with tax here in CA) I think it’s well worth it. Usually I do a chicken quesadilla, side of hot sauce, and one veggie taco with everything on it. Nice to see there are still restaurants making their own guacamole.

I went to the first one here in Denver on Evans when they first opened, no one there. With in 2 weeks there was a line out the door and now they are everywhere. I used to have a friend that worked there and I ate there for free but no more:( My GF doesn’t eat there so I only can eat there when I go on my own. I think they have high quality food and you will not walk out hungry that is for sure.

I bought stock in McDonalds b/c my wife eats at Chipolte when ever the excuse comes up. Truth be told I eat there some as well.

I always wondered about the quesadilla. $3,88, eh? Didn’t know if I am “in” enough to order it. Although, they seem to know me by name now. My spanish has improved too boot!

Any clue about the hot sauce? It appears they did chance it slightly in the past 3 weeks to appear to have a more “tabasco” taste. I actually liked the old stuff. Then again, it could just be a batch of peppers used this round…

I was dissapointed when MCD’s bought them out. I was afraid they would really screw it up, but on the outside it still seems to be ok. They totally changed the culture there though. When that happened it was a true clash of cultures but what can you do as the owner of a business when someone like MCD’s offers you $$?

Yea…I was suprised with McD funds. From my research (I’m a McD investor) they own 90% through investment needed for expansion. There is little/no management involvement.

It appears McD is liquidating their assets/funding of non-McD businesses and getting back to making America fat, which is why we love em.

Damn, it’s lunch time and there’s no location near me now…

I just finished a Barbacoa burrito with gucamole… mmmmmmmmm - belch!

We dont’ have too many Chipotles around here, but when I first moved to LA, I went crazy for burritos – esp. from Baja Fresh, La Salsa, Poquito Mas and Rubios (and some local, more authentic places). I was eating there several times per week (ok, almost every night when I first got here). I put on about 15 pounds and my cholesterol shot way up. Granted, there were other factors too (new job w/ long hours), but even so, I now only go to those places about once a month. Still love those burritos, though!
