I’m heading over this weekend (from Victoria) and like to pick up a Asics Visor and look around a bit at some stuff I can’t afford.
Is there any stores in Vancouver B.C. that sell Tri related goodies?

La Bicicletta
Speed Theory
.
Pacific Multisport
.
The two strongest tri shops in Vancouver have been covered (Speed Theory & Pacific Multisport), as has La Bicicletta.
Others that bear mentioning:
Campione Cycles
TriGeeks Multi Sport (Surrey)
The Bike Gallery (never been there but they do sponsor a few local races)
As for that Asics visor, you’d probably have better luck at one of the local running shops:
ForeRunners
North Shore Athletics (N Van)
The Runner’s Den (Port Moody)
The Run Inn
Rackets & Runners
Peninsula Runners (White Rock)
If you want any De Soto stuff you will need to go to Tri Geeks as I discovered none of them stock DSS any more!!! Tri Geeks are excellent though and have a very similar customer service to Emilio himself. PAcific multisport is good and the owner is very helpful but they don’t have much stock. Your best bet in town is Speed Theory but if you have a car it’s worth driving over to Port Moody and having a look in www.tri3sports.ca
As Khai said, you are probably better off going to a running shop for your ascis visor though.
Hey… does tri geeks keep lots of dss in stock? i don’t feel like driving all the way out there if it’s slim pickins.
Best bet would be to call them and see what they have in your size. They’re great people, and will bend over backwards to help you out in any way that they can.
Cool, thanks man. Cuz there’s nothing wrong with still not having race gear just over a week out from the race, right? Yes, this is going to be a gong show!
Hey D, yeah they have a pretty dran good stock over there at tri geeks. I would suggest you check out their site and then ring them. I wanted a speed tube 2 when I was over in June and gave them a ring. The lady owner (sorry can’t recall her name) emailed me back in 5 minutes and even gave me the bus numbers and times so that I could get over to them!
The store is chocker with kit so I would recommend them. Also, if you are going to IMC they always have a presence there too. If you do happen to go over there, would you mind reminding about the English guy that buses over from town and that I am really pleased with the speedtubes?
Ta.
Just make sure you get at least one ride in whatever shorts you plan to wear on race day beforehand. A gal I met up there in 2006 had the misfortune of changing her mind last minute and then suffering through 122km of CHAFING.
She finished (a real trooper), but man - what a day!
