Any thoughts on 2xu Tri Gear

Any pros or cons on 2XU stuff? Specifically the long distance tri top and bottom?

I raced in a custom 2XU sublimated kit all year but I raced in there long-distance suit at Cabo in black. They have a nice chamois that is perforated to help dry faster and I loved it. It was one-piece though and don’t have a lot of experience in two piece setups.

I have various bits of 2XU, its all good. They make mostly nice, premium stuff. Long lasting & comfortable in my experience.

I’ve got their cheapest tank, and it has lasted well. The bottom of the zipper is a bit messed up though, and so it sometimes comes apart, necessitating about 5 minutes to get it lined back up.

I’ve got a blue tri-suit of theirs. Really nice material, and seems to be well made.

Not the cheapest either which in my opinion is a good thing.

I raced in their 2XU Compression suit all last season for sprint and Olympic races.

Overall the suit is pretty comfy and the hydrophobic material means you are dry a few minutes after leaving T1

I’ll probably race in the same suit next season.

I had some terrbile chafing in my LD 1 peice suit. I really liked the compression and the material was very thin, so it really cooled me well. But the chamiois, tore me up running. The edges were’s soft enough or somethign or it was slightly too big for my body shape. I’m 5’11", it was a Medium.

I’m probably going with a Desoto Rivera 1 piece suit this season. The thick pad doesn’t chaff me at all on the Liftfoil suit and it’s probably the most comfortable chamois I own including my cycling shorts. I’ll probably retire it form racing this year and use it for long rides/bricks.

Love 2XU fabrics and overall feel but stopped using them due to the chamois chaffing me up and the crotch stitching coming apart …definitely don’t recommend them for an adamo saddle user based on my experience. Saw something on here where 2XU had a adamo specific chamois on display at one of the expos but never seen it offered on their 2013/2014 suits/shorts to date. Switched to Desoto shorts as a result

I have their Comp Tri Singlet and shorts and have had no issues. Only used the top twice for my Olympic and Half Ironman. I wear the shorts for all my long rides though.

I race in the compression top and bottom. I’ve never had a comfort issue with this kit. The kit stays nicely fit after the swim and dries pretty quickly. Never had an issue on an Adamo saddle with the compression shorts. I raced Cabo in the green top last year and had zero heat issues.

Great kits if you ask me.
