All the word on the street is there’ll be a new inaugural IM race next year? I’m waiting, waiting, waiting! Any speculation, rumors, thoughts?
(Maybe this has already been posted. I searched, but couldn’t find anything…)

Personally I would rather see Challenge get the SC venue that the WTC is after.
you may want to check the Ironman Asheville and Ironman Chattanooga posts, which are probably on the front page.
It will be the Ironman Too Expensive.
Yeah, I suppose I thought there was another one going to be announced besides the NC speculation. But, probably not I guess. I’m crossing my fingers for IM Oregon or WestCoastNotAtElevation

Kind of a hijack: You know I used to think IM was ridiculously priced, even though the market supports the pricing. But recently, I have done a an organized century ride and a half marathon. Each cost $75 dollars. In neither did I get a shirt, medal (not that I want one), a closed road, or significant support on the course (again, not necessarily needed for either). Every ironman I did was very well organized and an excellent experience. Do I think my experience in each ironman was 8 or 9 times better than the events I just did? You bet. That is why I did more than one IM, but won’t be back for the century or half marathon next year. I guess compared to my other experiences, I would call it Ironman You Get What You Pay For.

Ironman You Get What You Pay For.
x2.
I heard rumors at CDA about WTC again trying to get a central California coastal Ironman, I had heard those rumors also before Tahoe was announced, and apparently they are still trying to negotiate venues
.
Could that rumor be about the new Ironman Boulder 8/3/14?

Since they have the same general target audience, I am sure both would consider this a favorable comment.

The appropriate comparison this week is Ironman=McDonald’s…
