Any good Sports psychology books

that you all can recommend? I am ready for a new book and thought this subject could prove useful.

Stress for success by James Loehr - He helped talk olympic athlete Dan Jansen back off the ledge after his crushing mental blow in the Decathlon.

Mental training for endurance athletes is a pretty good read too.

Just about any Jim Loehr book is great, my dad knows him and has sent many tennis players to him with great results…I personally have not read any of his books even though i am studying to be a sports psychologist… Ill look in our library and let you know tomorrow of any books i may have around here im sure i have a couple…

Way of the Peaceful Warrior (much better than the movie). Not a sports psych book per se, but a great book you can learn a lot from. The first time I read it I found myself highlighting passages and tabbing pages to go back after I read the ‘story’ It’s applicable to sports and life.

Body Mind Mastery, by Dan Millman

Stolen from Paulo’s bookshelf, so it must be good!

A lot of our athletes at U. Wisconsin read “New Toughness Training for Sports.” But then again, we did get beat by a 10-seed this weekend.

In Pusuit of Excellence and/or Embracing Your Potential… Both by Terry Orlick… But I’m biased 'cause I had him for a prof.

Mind Gym by Gary Mack is pretty good. A little cheesy at times, but easy to read and useful advice.
