Any Good Podcast

I love podcasts and have a few that I listen to, but there are so many to choose from and a lot suck. I currently like Endurance Planet but it mainly talks long course and I am doing short course races. I loved Tri-Talk podcast it had amazing info but is no longer on. Does anyone have any they would recommend?

IM Talk. Awesome characters!

The Adam Carolla Show. There’s a reason why its #1 on Itunes.

Macca has 1 on iTunes that he does w/ his strength and conditioning coach. Even if you’re not a fan of his, it’s pretty good. They do a good job covering current issues and training for both short course and long course.

Bill Burr Monday Morning Podcast
.

Kevin Taddonio and I do a weekly Google hangout. On video, but similar concept. Here’s the link to our channel. We give away some free stuff generously donated by some of the companies we work with. Also, the link to our facebook page.

Feedback and topic suggestions are always welcomed.

Rich Roll has a pretty good podcast. Its not all triathlon/endurance sports themed (talks alot about food/plant based eating) but he has alot of runners and triathletes on too. He has had Macca, Hillary Biscay, and Garrett Weber-Gale (Olympic swimmer). Plus all of the interviews are a good 1.5-2 hours long.

Rich Roll!!!

The Macca podcast is pretty good, but their audio quality is the worst. Plus, half the time the two guys are talking at the same time. However, they make up for a lot of that with their enthusiasm.

Don’t listen to Endurance Planet. Whoa they have some bad ideas. Get the book “Triathlon Science” and then listen to entertaining podcasts.

Art of Manliness is one of my favs.

Zen and the Art of Triathlon. Interviews with Jordan Rapp, Angela Naeth, Jessie Thomas, and on and on. 8 years of backlog. Just recorded a show riding along a toll road for two hours in traffic in stereo.

Personality goes a long way in podcasts.

That is why IMTalk is #1 for me - I listen to it even though I was not hugely interested in IM distance until recently. Two (apparently) really great guys having an entertaining discussion. That it is triathlon related is a bonus.

2nd is Training Bible Podcast with Scott and Adam. Again, good personalities at work here. I suspect one guy is the one to have beers with, the other is the guy to have as a coach.

The Endurance Nation podcast suffers from the lack of personality. I used to listen to the Rockstar Triathlon Podcast or whatever it was called by Ben Greenfeld until he started promoting pseudo scientific BS. Plus they didn’t have the personality of the other podcasts.

I love podcasts that Im going to learn something from either fitness, training, or nutrition. Thanks for the ideas and would welcome all

I used to like the Two John’s Podcast and I think you’d find their archive pretty interesting. Unfortunately they haven’t made a new one for almost a year now…

+1 for IM Talk and Legends of Triathlon.

Macca’s is OK.

First Off The Bike is good for Australian triathlon.

If I am going for a long ride I load up with “Stuff You Should Know” podcasts.

My three favorite triathlon podcasts…

The Age Grouper - My favorite podcast by far. Jeff & Eric are funny, entertaining and informative. Some great interviews with Craig Alexander, Chrissie Wellington, etc. 72 back catalog podcasts to listen to. Only bummer is that they don’t they don’t do podcasts as often as they used to. link https://itunes.apple.com/podcast/age-grouper-triathlon-podcast/id262227505?mt=2

Training Bible Coaching - Adam & Scott put out a great podcast that is also entertaining & informative. Both are elite triathletes that compete in the biggest races. Having read the Triathlon Teaining Bible and using Training Peaks helps but is totally not needed. Audio quality could be better. First off the Bike - Is another good triathlon podcast. Bunch of Aussies talking sh!t. https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/firstoffthebike.com/id541008325
