Any experience with the Motobecane Le Champion Ti frame?

The spec is pretty unreal at that pricepoint. And, that’s not even mentioning the titanium frame.

Does anyone have firsthand experience with this frame? The photos don’t show anything out of the ordinary (bad welds, etc.)

I’ve seen them in person and know the factory that makes them. Great ride if you are looking for Ti. Bikes Direct is a good source and stands behind their products so no issues at all.

Not with the Le Champion, but i’ve got their Ti cross frame and I’ve gotta say it is one heck of a nice bike. Not as pretty as my Litespeeds, QR or Titus, but I’m still waiting for the cops to show up at the door considering what I paid.

I’ve seen threads on Bikesdirect before (mostly for CX bikes) and the general impression that I took away was: solid ride, incredible price-point and high-quality to slightly disappointing customer service. The only criticism that people had, if I remember correctly, was that some assembly is required (seems reasonable to me, and is discussed on the listing).

I’d be confident buying from them given what I’ve heard and (I need to tell my Felt B12 to cover its ears) I love titanium.
