Any Burn the Jukebox fans here?

It’s a long shot, but I thought I’d ask.

If so, are you team BTJ or team Ethan?

Fan? I don’t know about that but some of their covers are great. What do you mean … BJT or team Ethan?

Is that the really young cover band? If so, we saw them at Paddy’s Green in SIC last summer or the summer before, thought they were OK, kind of fun.
What’s the “team” stuff about?

BTW if you want to see a really talented young cover band that plays in our area… Fat Mezz.

The lead singer/keyboard player got kicked out of the band. They say he left the band to focus on school. He says he was kicked out because they just graduated and he still had two years left.

They moved the girl to lead vocals, and brought in a new guy on 2nd guitar. Ethan, the guy they kicked out, now has his own channel where he plays all of the instruments.

IMO, he was the true talent of the band. I’ve been in a band where we lost our lead and the backup took over, and my friends just went through the same thing. Can you do it? Sure, just like you can finish a season with the backup quarterback.

Genesis might be the only band I’ve ever heard of that got better when the backup took over.

I wouldn’t be surprised. They’re from Bethlehem.

I just discovered the Graystones. This is a really good cover of Supertramp.

Don’t know why I like this stuff. Maybe seeing kids play the music we grew up on makes me feel like the world still has a chance.

Side note: I’m planning to do something similar with my band. I don’t expect it to go viral or get popular, but there’s something to be said about little short snipits of live music shard on social media which is a way to “play for some purpose,” without having to hustle for gigs, find the time to play those gigs, and then beg your friends to come out and watch them.
