Another Polar 720i question

My Polar 720i seems to just stop for no reason occasionally. Not on the bike, but running, I’ll look down and see the stopwatch just stopped… sometimes I’ll start it again with the red button, and it will again again almost immediately… hmmmm. I’m pretty sure that I’m not accidentally pressing any buttons. This is during “Basic Use.” I don’t know if there is another “function” that I’m missing here?
Thanks

I was having this problem. I had mine set to Auto-Start when I was using it on my bike. Apparently it was ‘auto-stopping’ when not on the bike. I turned the Auto-Start off and everything worked fine.

I was thinking about that…
I’m going to give it a try now.
Thanks!

If you have the “heart touch” function set to record lap times if you bring the watch near the transmitter, it will record a lap time. When this happens, if you look at the display it will have stopped to show the time the lap was recorded, if you push the red button it will record another lap time stopping the display again.

Next time you notice this happening wait 5 or 10 seconds and see if it goes back to normal, also look to see if the number of recorded laps is changing.

I disabled the auto start/stop bike feature and that seems to have solved the problem.
Thanks
