Well I couldn't sleep so decided to get started. How does it look so far? Thanks Brian @ Ohiotri.com

Well, I think you’re on the right track! I also ride Planet-X, what kind of aerobar are you planning for?
/CE
Not sure yet. First tri bike, suggestions welcome!!
there is too much happening on the bike. Namely, all the lettering and white stuff. I would remove the stickers on your wheels and black them out. Also something is going on with your seat cover, not sure what it is, but it distracts from your frame.
That fits my lifestyle, too much going on!!
I like it, I think it matches well. You will love the bike.

after watching john cobb, dan & jordan fit people for about 6 hours…get the bars that “match” or “offset” the geometry of the frame that allows you to SUSTAIN a powerful, aero position. one of the things that i thought was interesting was that dan says many pros go to him for fits and are surprised when he says, “pick a cockpit or pick a frame but you don’t get to choose both” meaning that the stack (refer to his article on stack & reach) of aerobars differs greatly (HED vs syntace for example) and that not all frames will work with all bars. well you can slap them on, but it will fail to be an optimal fit.
anyway, that’s a long way of saying that it would behoove you to find your fit coordintes FIRST and then see if you can find those coordinates on your new bike. i literally saw john & dan tell two people that the $5000 bikes that they brought up to get fit to were among the worst geometric choices for these people and that while they would be happy to go thru the fit process (at dan’s place fits are done on EXIT bikes) the “fit points” that they would end up with would not translate to the bikes they brought.
Enjoy the bike, I really like mine.
Not to threadjack, but Tribato’s post is where I feel a lot of folks are at - me included…wrong first tri bike, without the ability to get (fit-wise) where they need to be on the bike. I feel that the advice to spend some money on FIT before they spent money on a bike is wise, but it’s so much more fun to just shop rather than get properly fitted.
Fortunately, I didn’t spend nearly as much as you reference above on my first ill-fitting tri bike (that I still ride).
Looks great! I really like those wheels. I bought my wife a white px and I am almost tempted to get myself one too. They are just cool bikes in the fact that they offer every advantage as any frame out there at an affordable price.
Well here it is, going to try it out tomorrow.
That thing looks SMOKIN’ FAST, nice ride dude, enjoy!

I went for that subdued look,

Is that just a matte black finish. It looks my-t sharp!
Cheers Rick
yeah, just matte finish. It used to be a white colored frame but had the white paint removed.
looks very nice, almost as nice as my PX white lightning. where did you have that PX decal made? Tai?

the name is actually painted on the frame and a thin layer of clear coat over it.
Mine will be pink, but I like that matte black finish. looks real classy

Dude, you live at the top of a steep hill? Posting a pic in that gear combo is a clear violation of ST bike pjorn protocol
…
too funny.
