I just got out of Plebe Summer for the Naval Academy and I’m about to begin my plebe year as a 4th Class Midshipman. I’m also on the tri-team and was wondering if there are any rides that leave from or near Annapolis. Even if someone needs a training partner for the bike, that’d be great.

You don’t have time to ride. You should be focussing on Table Salt, chow-calls, come-arounds, classes, and drill. If you have extra time, clean your room or get your uniforms squared away. 
I’m sure the Tri-Team and the Cycling team have good routes already figured out. Now that the Brigade is reforming, you shouldn’t have any trouble.

Plebe year isn’t what it used to be! The last thing I would have worried about between plebe summer and academic year would have been bike routes! In the old days if the upper classmen found out you didn’t sweat them you could forget about any time for bike rides (or anything else) in the near future. Good luck!
What are you doing on the internet??? What do you mean that you got out of your Plebe Summer and I didn’t realize there was a break between Plebe Summer and Plebe Year? I hope you didn’t bilge your classmates. Better get back to studying your reef points.

Not to mention, what the Hell business does a Plebe have chatting on an internet forum? When I was a plebe the only thing we could do on the computer besides school work was sign up for a haircut appointment and register for classes. They just don’t make Plebers like they used to.
USNA isn’t letting plebes and youngsters compete except during town liberty this year…so…that sucks.

Wow. I’m stunned. 1 of 2 things is going on here. A) Plebe summer is officially a joke now and you should thank your detailers for the vacation OR B) You have grossly underestimated ac year.

Sign up for haircut appointments?? I guess that is what happens when you are in the last class not to get issued computers ('89).
I was on the USNA cycling team way back in the day, but doubt that our routes would still be good (even if I could remember where they were). Good luck since it seems to me that traffic has only gotten worse in the intervening 16 years since I was graduated from that fine institution.
I do remember there was a loop in Amberly that we rode and another one out past the mall, but my guess is that the areas where we rode are heavily developed now.
Just to continue piling on … hit a bulkhead and give me the menu for morning meal.
