LOL. That was great
I know it is standard practice in the automotive world to buy competitors products and do a myriad of tests on them ranging from NVH(Noise, Vibration and Harshness) to destructive structural tests. I would also assume it is standard practice in the bike world w/ all the “competitive” wind tunnel “studies” each manufacturer does.

So, how did those work out for you?
Dr. C- are you planning to compare your new P4 and the P3C?

If I had a P4, yes, I’d put it through the same paces.
Could you not get some nice bike shops to supply you? Look at how much they pay to advertise! Set up a blog thing, chuck some adverts on the page and hey presto, you may even be able to make enough money to cover the costs of a wind tunnel.
I know that there are people on this forum who are desperate enough to see results that they would sign their soul* over to the devil to get data. Surely some on-line bike retailers could gain some business this way?

I’m open to anything. All that I require is that 1) it doesn’t cost me any money, 2) I have use of the frame (frames?) long enough to work the testing into my schedule, and 3) I am permitted to share the resultant data as I see fit.
OK, I like the idea. I think we could do something similar. First of all, we need to line up people who own the right size of each bike, say put out a call for people to “donate” a large or 58 or whatever in each type. You would not be allowed to keep my plasma for a year for example. but perhaps we could schedule it around a specific wind tunnel and you could have it for the testing period. I might even foot the bill to get it to you. So the riders themselves are supplying the machines, Or the bike shop idea could work.
Then you need the money for a wind tunnel. I like the idea of giving the guy a call whose picture is in the “they paid for this” thread. He seems to have enough money, and a desire to ride as fast as he can. So lets see if he will foot some of the bill for clean data.
Then you need a tester that has a certain amount of credibility. You could be that, or it could be someone else. But it needs to standardize the testing and have checks and balances. You could become the consumer reports of fast toys, uh, I mean bicycles. I think you can do this for little money, and could make some too.
Oh, be sure to invite a rep from each company to observe the testing. It adds credibility. Ideally, you can offer to cover their costs, so the only reason to refuse your offer is to admit they may not win.
