Alu vs carbon cockpit for tri bike

Any advantages of switching to carbon from aluminum?
Weight? Stifness?
I’m thinking of upgrading but only if this makes sense for my Felt IA10

You’ll get better shapes with carbon, can’t say they have a better CdA.
What bar you looking to replace and get?

I got the original Devox Alu one that came with the IA10.

I’m looking for carbon options, from chinese ones in Aliexpress like Winow or Balugoe to used ones in eBay, maybe Zipp, Profile Design, I don’t know. Lots of people went with the Tririg one for this particular bike, but it’s out of my budget new, and they are difficult to find used.

I would change only if I got something from it, like less weight, more stiffness, better handling or comfort… I can’t find if that changes a lot.

I’m conscious the best improvement I can do is my position on the bike, so I’m constantly doing fits and refining my position, so that is being handled already.

I would say that there is a good chance that the comfort will be better with carbon. This would be due to the more anatomically well-fitting shape along with better road vibration absorption with carbon bars. However, you won’t know for sure if it is a better shape for you until you try them.

I would utilize caution on buying used and or off brand items for stems and bars from a safety stand point.
But this just the opinion of a back of the packer who weighs about 200lbs, who has had failure’s on aerobars.
