Congratulations, I didn’t get in either drawing. My buddy got in but turned it down (!), and the evening before I found out I missed out on the February draw I lost my $25 winning lotto ticket! What a great 24 hours.

Congratulations, it is a great race and very well organized and executed.
The swim should be scary, that’s the whole point of the thing, really.
The bike course is tough, 13% + grades, I used a 12-27 and was glad I did. The Computrainer course for this seems pretty accurate to me, seek it out if you want to know.
The run is technical, but unless you really get a good swim and are at the pointy end of the race, your pace will probably be limited by the single-track trail portions, and the sand.
I’d do this race again in a heartbeat.
