Ain-Alar Juhanson signs with Argon 18

Hi Slowtwitch forum members, today Argon 18 is particularly glad to announce a new collaborative agreement with another world class triathlete. After Luke Bell who joinded Samantha McGlone in the Argon 18 family, this time it’s Estonia’s Ain-Alar Juhanson who chooses the E-114 to meet his objectives. With the best bike split in Kona in 2008 and two victories a the Ironman Lazarote…

congrats! Big fan of Argon 18!

Not enough love for these bikes on here. We hear about Cervelo, Specialized, Trek all day long.

… I love my Gallium road bike.

Very nice Bruno. I’m sure he’s put your bike towards the “pointy end” of the race.

I guess they needed another large European beast on the bike to fill Torbjorn’s shoes.

What size bike is he going to ride? When I’ve seen him at races he looks pretty tall.

.

He is going to ride an XS
.

Absolutly, the XS, the new one with 650c wheels
Just kiding, I don’t want to start a rumour! Seriously, he’s going to ride on a regular L with the 95mm ONEness (regular stuff). His natural position his close to the one Torbjorn use to have so it’s funny -but somewhat logical- that he rides on the E-114 since Torb had an high impact on its design. As RacerX was pointing out, we are glad to have a strong European rider on this bike: since Torb retired, we were less present and Ain-Alar will be able to assure a continuity on the racing circuit for us. Also, and it’s not the least important factor, since we are always working to improve our bikes, our design team will be listening to his feedbacks and ideas.

I raced Lanza this year and saw him a couple of times. Man how somebody so big can race so well in the heat - awesome! Going back to Lanza next year. The transition area there is pretty open and the public get chance to see all the pro’s bikes. This year we saw Bella and Stephen Bayliss racking and Scott Neyedlli poncing around like he owned the Island. Will look forward to keeping an eye out for Ain’s Argon. He should be a great asset to the Argon brand.

I visited the Canary islands in 2002 and it was hard work running in the heat.

have heard the course is pretty hilly, or has it changed?

Would have thought ironman Lanzrote was better suited to a smaller athlete.

So when is Ain- Air going to race Ironman Nice or Manaco 70.3?

I see he is part of the team TriLife based in the UK.
