Question for Lake Placid veterans: Where are the aid stations located on the Bike Course? (no smart answers like “along the shoulder”, please). The generic description from IMNA is “about every 10 Miles”, but I know that can vary. This will be my 1st time at LP and any input (such as the top of the big descent, at the bottom of the 11 mile climb back into town, etc.) from those who have done the course would be appreciated.

Being as I have been on that loop 8 times now…the best way to describe where they are is - Right where they are needed. I know that is a general answer but they are all in very logical spots. If you go a few days early drive the course and you will see the painted marks on the road of where they will be at.
First aid station is by Jackrabbit inn (after uphill out of placid)
Second is after you pass through keene about 3-5mi after Keene on the right (about half between keene and upper Jay).
Third is just before you make the turn at Jay to climb up to Wilmington
Fourth is at the fire house just after you turn on the out and back.
Fifth is at the end of out and back
sixth is at the fire station again
seventh is right after the high falls gorge tourist trap
and there I cant remember for absolute sure, but I think that the next one is the special needs pickup right back in placid by Mirror lake.
Then you do the whole thing again.
