Considering a new bike from them.
Anyone ridden one or own one?

My crit bike is an Aerocat R509. Great bike. Met Tim and Dave Poole (owners) at a race and they made me an offer I couldn’t refuse
Exact same geometry as Cervelo S series
Chinese carbon frame from same factory as Pinarello. VERY stiff bike with BB30. Good finish. Not very comfy for long term rides, but a great crit bike. Not a fan of their TT bike(s). Great guys to deal with.
Yeah, I got offered a sponsorship from them and the price is hard to pass up.
And I’m shocked that they’re made in the same factory is so different than the Pinarello since their frames are so different
Good bike for the money. couple of P/1/2 racers on them (Texas Roadhouse and their own crit team with doped up S. Americans).
For reference, my main road bike is a Wilier Centro 1 that cost literally 3 times as much and my other Cervelo Soloist Carbon, P3 and Felt cross bike. Point is, all brand name bikes, and it is just as good and I love the black/white paint job. Just remember, it is a stiff ride - but what I wanted in a crit bike.
Fair enough.
I just got a new Ridley road bike and already have a Felt AR4, so I’m mainly looking for a tri bike and haven’t really come across any data on their T605
TIbbs gives his stamp of approval.
Again, not a huge fan of their TT bike (the 605). Nice enough bike I’m sure (esp for a sponsored price). But at a high level, TTs are won by seconds, and one of more modern, uber aero bikes will likely give you that over the 605. Price an issue, then sure, go for it. Not sure why you wouldn’t just run your Felt for tris though?
Here is the 509 at a summer crit (great photo from the guy in the center’s mother!)
edit: normally run Zipp 404s, but had my powertap in to Saris for work, so on the “regular” wheels
Tibbs loses his credibility when he refers to himself in the third person… haha
Nice pic and the AR4 is a nice road bike but I’d have to switch out the cockpit for tris.
I had a 09 Felt B2 that I just sold for tris.
Oops - my mistake. Forgot the AR4 was their aero road bike (see photo above!).
I have an R-505 and love it. Top-notch service, too. Best for shorter, fast rides IMHO.
They are Fantastic bikes! They are super stiff & ride like a dream… been looking at getting one for a few years now. Test rode a few & next month I’m getting the Aerocat T605… such a nice bike…
