Aerobar: Profile Design vs. 3T Aura

I bought the 3T Aura and my professional fitter would like to see the width about 2.5cm wider on each side (5 total). He’d also like to see it 6mm higher. I can get it 6mm with the riser but I can widen the width. I’ve tried the Mistral but that puts me even lower. I just did a sprint with the current set up and definitely need the risers but the width felt okay. I have broad shoulders, thus the reason he wants 25cm.

I am thinking of ordering the PD Cobra base bar and PD design T2+ Cobra aero bars. Those are much more adjustable, albeit not as blingy as 3T.

Do those two bars compare well in the aerodynamics area. I know being comfortable is more aerodynamic than not. Just looking for a product comparison. Thanks.

just my opinion, but as it’s close to the end of “season” you could prob work on flexibility and moving into the aura bars. I say this out of experience as I am a big guy as well and have made huge gains as far as dialing in fit…ie coming from a somewhat high and wide bar/pad position to no spacers and using the aura too. I’m 6’2" and 190 lbs if that gives ya an idea. Good luck either way…I ran visiontech for last 3 years and love the 3T so far.

The width wasn’t too much of an issue for me as the drop was. I may ‘bend’ the elbow pads a tad. I’m 6` and 190. So close to you.

that can be worked on…and worked with
