I have a Profile Design Cobra base bar with T2 extensions. I am not to fond of the F22 armrest as I cannot seem to tighten the right side enough and it slips a few CMs below the left. When I was being fitted on a P2, it had Visiontech aerobars and I really like the pads much better. I was thinking of use the PD extensions with VT armrest/pads. Anyone try this before?
Sounds like you need to see Mr. Cee Gee.
Same type of situation… I really like the feel and fit of the Syntace C2 pads and have adapted them to a set of 3T(commuter scooter) and a set of Profile aerobars (Dual).
If I understand correctly, you want to install VT armrests on a Profile bar? The bolts on the VT armrests are around 60 degress to horizontal (not vertial) so I think you will find the armrests will sit at an unusable angle if mounted vertically into a Profile bar. Also, the mounting holes on the VT armrests are on the edge of the pad whereas the Profile mounting holes are in the centre. All up I would say no can do…
try friction paste for carbon parts to prevent the pad holder from slipping. as for pad material you can try to cut a mousepad to proper size. works just fine!
