Aero road helmet that covers ears

Which aero road helmets are on the market that cover the ears. Not a full on TT helmet, but an aero road helmet with ear-coverage. What are the options out there? Thanks

Road helmets don’t cover the ear due to that they are designed to be used when riding in a bunch. If you cover the ear, it make it alot harder to hear other people while you are riding.
The only thing I can think of that comes relatively close to what you are looking for is the Casco Speed Time Trial Helmet which comes in at at over $400.00 and does not even have a safety rating inside of the United States.

This… You can find short tailed (or no tailed) TT helmets that fit this bill (there are other models than just the Casco…), but as mentioned, once you cover the ears, it ceases to be a road helmet in the sense of being accommodating to pack riding applications in a safe manner… For what you’re looking for, you’re really looking at the types of helmets favored by many track cyclists (which is where all of the short/no-tail TT helmets came from…)

Guess a good question would be why you want your ears covered? Not safe biking on the roads with your ears covered.

Best helmet I can think of is the Catlike Rapid tri version short tail and open covered ears but I wouldn’t call it a road helmet.

Maybe you need Cat Ears
.

Well Giro made an AirAttack for track racing that had covered ears, but they were very pricey and I don’t think they make it anymore.

I do not know of any road helmets, but I’ve used the Catlike Rapid Tri and the Lazer Air Aero helmets and have found them both quite good. Make sure that if you buy a Catlike Rapid you get it from a US distributor who has the CPSC sticker in the helmet.

I have hearing loss and find I hear much better with these helmets. Having the ears covered significantly reduces wind noise. I don’t ride with other, however.

Huh, I always feel like I’m in the middle of a hurricane with my TT helmet due to the wind noise. But maybe that’s just my particular helmet (S-Works TT).
