Hi everyone,
after my first IM 2 weeks ago, I identified some areas to work on. First two were bike positioning/buy a TT frame, and train more/better on the bike.
I purchased a power meter and did a FTP test this week to train smarter.
For the bike fit, I don’t have the money to buy a TT bike right now. For the rest of the season, I’ll mainly race on olys, and maybe 1-2 70.3. I’d like to optimise my road bike fit.
I worked on my Giant Propel fitting, I’m waiting for clip on aerobars, with an aero hydratation system (2 bottles in the saddle, 1 on the aerobars).
ANy comment on my position ? I think it’s not so bad, maybe I could lift the saddle a litlle more but last season I had a ITB after raising my saddle too much so I’m afraid to do so.
Thanks a lot for your comments, and sorry for the english.

If you are trying to save some money, have a look at myvelofit.com for an interactive bike fit. Might give you some good indications on where to move stuff. Obviously a proper fit will be better mind.
I think you will get very close to a ‘TT fit’ on your Propel with some bars as it’s an aggressive geometry anyway, so can save on the TT bike
It’s really hard to fit a road bike from static photos, because it’s so much more dynamic than a tt position. Your saddle might be a little too forward. Your stem might be too short. This is all hard to tell without seeing movement and balance in the saddle.
Thanks !
I’ll try to upload a video.
What are you looking for putting the saddle back and stem longer ?
I was aiming to have around 90° of shoulder angle … if I increase the distance between saddle and handlebar I’ll have more than that so maybe hard to reach too far no ?
