Aero helmets for people with big noggins?

I’m looking for recommendations of aero helmets that fit people who have very large heads. Perhaps if one’s head is so large that it’s difficult to find a helmet, there is no hope of getting anywhere close to “aero” anyways, but one can hope…

I’ve tried the LG P-09 size L and it won’t fit on my head.

I’ve heard that the Specialized Evade might be a good option, but haven’t tried it.

At the moment I wear a POC Ventral Air Spin size L, which fits pretty well.

I have a size 7 7/8 cranium. I have a Specialized Evade in a size L, it fits me nicely. In my motorcycling days, there were two different basic shapes for helmets, round vs oval??? I have found that Specialized helmets (Prevail and Evade) fit me better than Giro. I do have a Giro Advantage II for a more full on aero helmet, but it is TIGHT, and hard to get on over the ears in a hurry. I’ve asked Rudy and some others about larger sizes, but no good. I think I will be looking to replace my Advantage with an Aerohead, as not many other choices. Otherwise, I’ll be sticking to the Evade, which isnt a bad choice

I am a member of the one size does not fit all hat club. Giro Aerohead is not only among the very best in the tunnel (yes I have data) but fits my giant head very well. Don’t bother with the Specialized, if you truly have a large head, it won’t fit.

I too am a member of the large melon brigade. I wear a Bontrager Ballista on the road bike and the Giro Aerohead fitted great too. The Oakley Aro 7 nearly removed my ears when I tried it on in their largest size.

The Evade is the largest road helmet I’ve ever tried. Lots of helmets fit me a little too snugly, the Evade is cavernous by comparison.

Another vote for the Aerohead. Giro is the only brand I have found to fit and that is with barely 1 or 2 clicks on the Rocklock.

I tried a Rudy Project L/XL once at an expo. I couldn’t get it to my ears much less on my head. Rep checked the label on the helmet 3 times and then just stared at me for a solid 30 seconds with no idea what to do next.

Did you get a new helmet? I’m looking to replace my Evade(1st generation) soon, and am considering an Aerohead or an Evade 3. Leaning towards the Evade 3 as I would probably use it more, but still would like the most aero lid I can get, but still seems size is a limitation.

I ended up getting an Aerohead. Fits well, I like it. Definitely on the heavier side, in case that’s something that would bother you.

Just got a Kask Protone, fits well on my large melon
