Aero Benefits of BTA - and Setup

Hi All,

Reading through the Hydration Rules topic, a lot of great pictures of various BTA setups have been posted. Having just bought ae TriRig BTA riser this made me think - If you cant test - what is the best starting point for setting up the dual BTA? (apologies for using other peoples pictures)

comparing this:

where both bottles are on the back side if the BTA, with this

where the top bottle is in front and the bottom bottle behind.

I know the goal is to close the gap between the arms and your chest - but both sort of does that?

2ndly - as far as height - is the goal to have the top bottle as close to your chest/chin as possible (but not above the highest point of the handlebar) or is it better to have it lower, where the bottom of the lower bottle being in line with the lowest point of the arm cup?

This is probably obvious - but interested in hearing peoples experience

Aero boys can say whether the quote I’ve left is best.
But came to say that “not above the highest point of the handlebar” is not a thing. The rules make no such reference. It’s just a quirk of the diagrams WTri shared in their interpretation doc: the upper limit is 200mm above the datum point (“measured from the lowest edge of the arm support”).
