I changed to a lower position this season and have found that the pad on my left bar is smashed always. So much so that it will not decompress back to normal position. After about 30 miles forearm is sore. Could this be telling me somthing about my pedal stroke or new position. ( Bars are the level with each other) My arms are the same size and length. After talking to a few others some one suggested it may be related to and old knee injury screwing with my position (left knee rebuilt). Anyone want to take a stab?
I would start with a new pad…
It could be something like that. Perhaps you are subconsciously compensating. I know I was shocked when my wife told me I walk with a limp sometimes even though nothing hurts. I had my right knee worked on back in the day and maybe that has something to do with it.
Do you tend to pull to the left when you ride? You may be over-using your right leg to compensate.
Don’t lean on that pad so hard!! : )
brandnew pad stole them off the wiffeys bike. she never uses her aero bars anyway.
My wild ass’d guess is that your not sitting on your seat properly and lean to one side…
