For all the computer gurus and those that would like to see some fun stuff,
I am starting a 365 day training program for my first IM that I plan on tracking on a web page. I plan on including a diet log, my ups and downs and also video of not only some of the more fun workouts, but also alot of cooking stuff. I thought that it woudl be fun to do a cooking show around my trianing with lots of good recipies and also techniques for getting good nutrition with limited time since I do most of the cooking and really love to cook great meals.
The only problem is that I have no idea how to set up the page.
I second the www.blogger.com site. Pretty easy to get started, and once you get more comfortable with it you can do some pretty sweet things that may even start to rival cnn.com.
For videos, load some stuff up to YouTube, and then use their script to import it into your page.
WHat I’m trying to figure out is if theres an easy way to update a sidebar mileage/training counter on the fly. I.E. Not having to go into the template every damn time. Anybody? Anybody?
Have fun with it, and post a link when you get it up and running.
If you log your workouts there, it will automatically update your sidebar every day. You still have to log it at Buckeyeoutdoors, but it’s easier than using the template and it’s free. If you need more info, PM me.
