Adjusting saddle angle up on tri bike from 3 degrees angle down to 1 degree angle down. Seem to recall some threads on this and impact on rest of bike fit, other adjustments that may be needed, etc. but can’t locate them. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
It depends on saddle. More concave or contoured saddles can be tilted nose down a little more while flat saddles should be closer to level. Measures across the top like laying a board across and placing a level on it. Your saddle should allow your pelvis to rest on it with the bottom of your sit bones (underneath side towards soft tissue). To much nose down leaves your pelvis kind of suspended in air or sliding forward. Saddle tilt shouldn’t really drive any aspect of your fit. I would get a saddle that you can sit properly on. Close to level and then fit from there. People don’t realize this but being too high in the front relative to steepness of Dsaddle position can actually make pelvic rotation and proper position on saddle harder to achieve
