Adductor Magnus tightness post run

Greetings everyone - I have been treating inner thigh adductor magnus tightness and pain for the past 6 months. I have discovered I have a short leg and I had weak pelvic floor and muscles opposing the IT band. Along with this my hip flexor gets extremely tight along with the adductor magnus, all on the “long leg” side. All along I thought this was related to my old bike (road bike in TT setup) where my hip angle was too closed. Long story short I have a new bike now with much better hip angle and I have now discovered all the tightness is created by the run.

To my question, has anyone dealt with this type of thing? What successful solutions did you pursue?

if your abductor is on the inside of your thigh, you have way bigger problems than a simple short leg/tilted pelvis

smart ass answer.

It’s all related. Weak IT band, glutes and hips result in forcing the abductor magnus to work harder to stabilize during running. The body is compensating. I would just continue to work on strengthening those areas. If you are doing any hard intervals on the bike it will contribute whether you think so or not.

I thought the Abductor Magnus was a Swedish serial killer from the “Girl who Played with Fire” or the Wallender series.

That would suck! Corrected and clarified.
