I’ve got skinny legs and have a couple of pairs of shorts that ride up as the silicon leg grippers already on the shorts are insufficient. I was thinking of running a strip of construction silicone around the legs to improve the grip. Anybody try this? I’ve looked around for silicone bands that can be sewn into the legs but haven’t been able to find anything.
Hi! Did you ever have any luck with this? I know this was posted a LONG time ago but I’ve just considered doing the same thing and google came up with this post. I’d be keen to know how you got on and if you ever tried the silicone?
I was reading your post thinking this is an issue I had in the past, turns out mine was the original post. To answer your question, no I didn’t glue more silicon on the legs. The only silicon strips I’ve found online are bulk orders from China, haven’t ordered any. I did get a pair of shorts altered at a clothing alteration shop which makes them fit better.
I used some hardware store silicone on some shorts years ago. About 1/2 of it flaked off in the wash, but it worked ok.
You could also sew in silicone grippers from women’s hairbands/headbands (you can find them at Target).
