Anyone done this?
As its a complete brake unit I feel there may be a Dremel moment needed? Don’t fancy running cable under the bars?
I thought of maybe taking off the brake lever and making enough room for a cable then out the usual plate underneath?
Hi CM,
Which Zipp Aero bar are you wanting to add DI2? I am thinking you are using the Vuka Aero. If so, unfortunately you won’t be able to use the DI2 brake levers, you can, however use the bar end shifters.

Yes the Vuka Aero, I know I can’t add the brake levers but you can buy the tiny hidden sprint shifter buttons, they are usually added to road bars for sprinters, I wanted to add these somewhere near the brakes to change the gear when I’m out of the saddle, routing the cable was my problem if you have any ideas?
Hi CM,
I’m sorry, but wire routing for that will best be acheived with some careful electrical tape under the bar. Please don’t dremel the bar. Our newer aero bars and base bars; the Vuka Alumina (http://www.zipp.com/bars/vuka-alumina/), Vuka Bull (http://www.zipp.com/bars/vukabull/), and our new Vuka Stealth (http://www.zipp.com/bars/vuka-stealth/) are fully DI2 Compatible.
Best Regards,
Nathan
What if I widen the gap between the brake lever and bar underneath, it looks almost wide enough anyway?
I know this voids any warranty.

CM,
Please don’t do that, it could cause a brake lever failure down the road.
