Has anybody gone for Active Release Therapy in the Detroit area and can recommend a place? Going to give it a shot to fix my Achilles.
Thanks
Jeff S.

Gwynne Waters - physical therapist at Henry Ford Center for Athletic Medicine. Very good, did wonders on my ITB.
There is a resource in Plymouth, Michigan too. I am not sure what the lady’s name is. She has been in here before though and struck me as credible.
Dr Karen Slota in Livonia Michigan is a Certified A.R.T., (Active Release) practitioner. Her website www.softtissuesolutions.com I send all of my clients to her as well as use her myself. Excellent results. She also accepts the majority of insurance types. If you have any questions, email me Rdyjak@lifetimefitness.com
I’ve used Slota as well. She did a good job with A.R.T., and also did video analysis to show during a webconference with other practicioners.
Why don’t you just buy a foam roller?
I will second or third the Dr. Slota rec. http://www.softtissuesolutions.com has all of the info you would need. Another rec. is Dr. Karl Tarkanyi in Novi (KET Chiropractic). He was one of the vendors at the Elite Endeavors races last year.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I have an appointment at 10:30 this morning with Dr. Karl. He has a Triathlon Analysis that will video tape your gait etc… hope this ART magic will work on an Achilles.
Tell him Bernie says Hi!
