Accurate body weight scale suggestions?

Alright time to monitor so I can measure body weight going into the season. Any suggestions on reliable scales? I have a 7yr old Tanita scale and it is so sketchy depending on how I stand on it and the surface underneath.

for actual body wt - the weight watchers model is very accurate- but I thought the model you used was for %age body fat???

I have had a few thinner brand ones and have not been impressed.

I have had decent luck with tanita brand.

Just bought a homedics model from Bed Bath and Beyond for $49, the same model as one we have at work. They have matched the times I have weighed at home and then at work, so I think so far I’m happy with that one too. At work we had thinner before the homedics and it was all over the place.

I have never seen a really good home model. I monitor my body weight on a real beam balance scale at the gym where I work (a medical school). Most good gyms have them, and just check it for zero balance before stepping on it. Tim

tanita digital scales work pretty well.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will check out more those models out. Yea the one I have is for body fat % and weight but it is all over the place ever since we got it.

The doctor’s office type balance scales (Healthometer?) are suprisingly affordable. It will last forever and you’ll never wonder if it’s right. I bought one years ago at drugstore.com for $120.
