Absolute Black Graphenlube wax lubricant

Does anyone have experience with Absolute Black Graphenlube? Is it legit? good stuff?

Expensive and the tests I’ve seen are not good.

I’ve used it - in fact, I still am currently using it.

Sort answer: meh. I got it for free from a friend, and it’s worth using for $0. But like the ZFC reviews state, it doesn’t last nearly as long before it needs rewaxing. I can’t personally attest to the speed/efficiency claims, but I trust the ZFC and other comparisons out there. My understanding is that it’s not the fastest wax treatment, but it’s still a wax treatment and thus still pretty good and far superior to drip waxes.

It flakes less than Silca wax, but it is not completely flake free like they claim. It’s a much softer wax though, and the chain is basically ready to ride right after it dries/cools. It is also exceptionally quiet. The chain isn’t quite as clean as other wax treatments (leaves some black residue on your hands if you handle it), but the residue wipes away easily.

If it lasted longer, I’d say it’s a very easy to live with and use for a daily/training wax. Unfortunately I find that I’m more likely to wax it and then top it off with Silca super secret liquid chain wax, because of how quickly it wears out. Once I’m done with the wax I have, I don’t plan on ordering any more.

I only see the wax on this table, not the lube. Could be mistaken, but I thought the wax was a flop but the actual lube is up there with the best and surprisingly long lasting vs competitors. Still doesn’t make sense compared to its price.

Tadej Pogacar and the UAE team use it. If the ads are accurate. If only that guy would use better lube and get off those crap bikes (says Philippe Gilbert)

I use Gulf paraffin wax that costs about $5 per pound.

Thanks so much! Quite helpful. I had looked into things about 5 years ago, but that’s basically out-dated now.

Silca is phenomenal. Very little flake. Extremely clean drive chain and super quiet. And in between hot waxing they have a drip lube (or remove chain and submerge) in the same formula. I use the submerge method every 200 miles and hot wax every 1000. Just over 8200 miles on an AXS Red chain and cassette with zero wear.

Nice, Silca tested well on ZFC it looks like. That is the Super Secret wax lube from Silca you use? Or do you mean the Silca Synergetic?

Thank you!
I assume it is generally ok to use a high end wax drip of one brand over a submerged wax from another brand? For example, I can’t find that Molten SW has a Wax drip, but they have a really good base wax. So could I use Molten base wax and then use like a Silca Super Secret over it to keep it running longer between submersions?

I have used Silca super secret drip over MSW and Absolute Black hot waxed chains with zero issues.

Their Secret Chain Blend Hot Melt Wax every 1000 miles and their Super Secret Chain Lube every 200 miles for dry conditions.

Use their Synergetic Lube for wet conditions.
