and everyone jumping on him…lot of BS there…the ones that are supporting Stadler the most are precisely handicapped athletes who through a rep. said that ‘they understood very well what they said and were supporting Normann’…
Since then, Normann has met with the handicapped athlete in front of him and they have decided to do charity work together…
Apparently the interview was really interesting but Bild decided to do some BS journalism and stuck to this piece…
There is also a gymnast who was 5th or 7th at the olympics, ranked in front of NS…he mentioned his name and said that couldn’t be right, but the journal stuck to the case of Cryz…
I read the interview and it seemed that Stadler is more aggravated about Triathlon not getting more respect. The headline of the whole thing is “As Triathlon Pro’s, we are sitting in a glass house.”
The emphasis seemed more about the doping by Nina than him complaining about the paralympic. I mean they started the itnerview off talking about doping.
Bild is one of those papers that you will find at the end of a checkout line, that takes items completely out of context.
genau…that’s what I thought too…
It sounds like this was tabloid gossip and the Bild is a rag, but because of this, the lesson Norman should have learned for next time is to smile at the judges, thank them, accept the 9th place award with humility, and realize that no further comments are necessary. That’s what a true champion would do.
Like I said in the other thread. Stadler sounds like a little hot head. Speaking before thinking…hmm…I know I do that sometimes. Nonetheless, it’s been cleared and he apologized to the appropriate parties. Hopefully he learned a lesson.
Bild is a rag paper. They do have a picture on one of the pages of the "Girl of the Day. Now that is nice.
There is an incredible amount of silliness in the world, and this is a good example of it. It’s also something that athletes in “minor sports” have to deal with all of the time. He’s right that his winning in Hawaii should have given him better recognition, but it seems that he simply wasn’t the flavor of the month with some sports journalists this year. I hope that this doesn’t mess up his endorsements too much.
Anyone have any background on this? I think I missed something…
He learned a lesson… don’t tell the truth… the media will kill you for it.
Shoot the lawyers? I say shoot the journalists…
Ranked in the top 10 aint so bad…
Some years ago I was in a hospital for some weeks. In the bed next to me an older guy had both legs cut because of heavy smoking. As soon as he could get up he went out of the room for a cigarette … I’ll never forget this.
regards,
Frank
Wow, apparently the guy didn’t learn his lesson. Smoking actually can be bad for you.
