We did a Crr update for our racing tyre series today, and as part of the test put in a Tufo Calibra Light 23mm clincher, which weighed in at a very light 145g. Was a tiny bit quicker than the Schwalbe Pro One TT and a few watts slower (for a pair of wheels at 45kph) than Corsa Speeds which I thought was interesting given historical data on Tufos.
I still roll a 23mm front which measures 24.6 on my 25mm external wheels. On the TT bike of course. Was using a gp5000 but swapped over to a Michelin TT for racing thanks to Xavier’s testing. Felt good for the racing I’ve had the past two weekends! And I actually have to run a 23 rear on my road converted p3c, which is unfortunate, but just a byprodcluct of using and older bike.
Bad CRRs weren’t costing them a lot of sales in the past, but as data becomes more readily available they might have found that bad test numbers cost them sales/distribution.
An additional factor is the adoption of power meters. It’s a lot easier for people to care about saving watts when they have a better sense for what that means IRL.
Latex tubes for both. I do have tubeless compatible wheels but haven’t been interested in swapping over quite yet. The Michelin TT doesn’t have a TLR version yet either.
North American distributor is Vlad at Tufo North America. He’s been their importer for a decade plus, and is a solid guy. He’s got some in stock, and they’re actually on sale right now.
People still ride 23C tires? Well, I suppose on a TT bike.
Tyre sizes stress me out. A 23mm Corsa Speed on an AeroCoach front wheel measures up at just under 26mm when installed and inflated, and the Pirelli P Zero Velo SL TLR in 26mm? Identical when installed, I think Pirelli are giving “wide internal rim width installed size” which in the modern era I suppose is more helpful, but only if everyone does it.

I had a chat with a chap at a race last week who’d swapped to Michelins and was very happy with the grip and resilience (we don’t do grip or puncture testing yet), I think it’s definitely a nice alternative to something like a Corsa Speed and is a tiny bit more aero (making them the same speed overall in the real world). Schwalbe Pro One TT is a good tyre too, tubed or tubeless.
I have set of 80mm race carbon DTSwiss wheels for racing ( Cervelo P3) thy are with GP 5000 tires 25mm.
Now rear disk will be from AeroCoach that have recomended tire 23mm what is better to do for the race day when I’m planning to use disk:
Put on the disk 23mm - Vittoria Corsa Speed 2.0 or Tufo Light 23mm and leave on the from 80mm wheel with GP5000 25mm
or:
Make a set for racing and change the front tire to Vittoria Corsa Speed 2.0 or Tufo Light 23mm.
Switching tires is always difficult and is always chance to make some slam images to rims. im very detailed person.

Thx for rcomendation
A bit depends on how puncture prone you are - Corsa Speeds can be more fragile than something like a GP5000, but are a bit slower. Just to throw something else into the mix, Schwalbe Pro One TTs are pretty much as fast as Corsa Speeds on most wheels, but are more robust so you can even train on them if you wanted (just replace them when they’re looking worn). Put 25mm Schwalbe Pro One TTs on everything and I think you’ll be happy with the speed and robustness (it’s fine to install one on an AeroCoach disc).
