Yes, but with this contraption, you can buy MORE shoes and not have to worry about where to put them. You could buy 20 of these things and take up the same space as 20 pairs of shoes would…only you have MORE shoes in the same space. At least that is how my girlfriend is explaining it to me. 
Not to worry, I have ample closet space in my apartment. Now my non-running shoes do get to live in a nice organizer for their protection. My asics don’t need to be babied.

Very cool… but I imagine I’d spray myself with dirt and pebbles every time I gave it a spin.
Also, too bad it only works up to men’s size 10.5. Not big enough for my huge and very unladylike shoes.
